About us
We meet on January 4, 2003 at a nightclub called Kamp, in Providence, RI. Eric decided to venture beyond the dating scene in Boston, and drove to Providence one evening to "meet the neighbors." And Steve, fresh from the West Coast, was eager to meet the men of the East Coast!
Well, after just one weekend, Eric locked eyes with a handsome man who was entering the club (yes, this was Steve!) Later in the evening, they met, danced, and had a fabulous time as night stretched into morning. Little did Steve know what he was getting into!
On their second date, Steve met ALL of Eric's friends in Boston! His humor and social graces impressed Eric, and Steve's ability to call Eric names in his own kitchen impressed Eric's best friends. And, Beyonce' didn't kill Steve the first night they met...
Weeks turned into months, and then years, and they both realized they had found someone exceptionally special. On Steve's 35th birthday, Eric surprised him with a dinner surrounded by dear friends. That same evening, Beyonce' surprised Steve with a diamond ring, and Eric asked Steve to marry him. Little did Steve know that Eric had sought Steve's mother's approval before popping the big question! With a few tears of joy, and much love, Steve said 'Yes!'
On January 4th, 2007, four years after the night they met in Providence, Steve and Eric were officially married at Cambridge Town Hall by the wonderful City Clerk, Donna Lopez. Steve's sister, Tami, and cousin, Kristen, were sweet enough to fly across the country to join us. Both grooms' parents sent their blessings and best wishes, and Eric's dear friends were in attendance to provide emotional support! The simple ceremony was surrounded by love, and the vows and location were so perfect that they made both grooms cry.
As October 13th fast approaches, we look forward to celebrating our friendship, relationship, and love with our families and friends! We're inspired by our parents' long and loving relationships, our families' whole-hearted support, and the joy expressed by our incredible friends. Thank you all so much for sharing our big day with us!
