Recently named one of the "Top 5 Photographers in Toronto", Kevin creates memorable images that are sure to be passed on for generations to come. He has a passion for photography that is evident in his editorial and photojournalistic candid style.

Its all about that moment in time.

When photographing your special day, I take a relaxed, candid and photojournalistic approach, capturing those precise special moments in time that will become memories for generations to come.

From your engagement shoot, throughout the wedding day, and even a "Trash the Dress" or day after photo shoot, it is my passion to be ever present to all of the emotion of the moment. It is impossible not to become involved in the happiness, excitement and true love shared between friends and family on such an important day. Each and every wedding in which I have been blessed to be included has been an amazing experience.

The beauty of weddings is inspirational: the music, the artistry, the fine food and wine, and the elegance and joy of the bridal gathering. My great love is translating this inspiration into stunning and creative, yet timeless images of your celebration.

I look forward to speaking with you about making your wedding photography a permanent memory of all the fleeting moments of your day.

What primary photographic style do you identify with?
Contemporary, Photojournalism, Portraiture, Traditional / Posed
What do your packages include?
Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Matted Prints, Prints, Proof CD of All Images, Thank You Cards
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I love experimenting with my photos and I'm able to accommodate any special techniques you would like. Most of my images are colour and black & white - but I have had clients who want sepia, split toning, grungy effects, cross-processing and a retro styled or urban effect.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I've had experience in all lighting situations; from bright sunny daylight on a beach to pitch-black night time photography. I love photographing in soft natural light [especially after a rainfall] as the colours, tones and textures just really pop! Manipulating light and shaping it creatively allows for some really great images.
Is your media preference film or digital?
Both! I am a digital and film photographer. I have a very strict colour workflow setup from my cameras to the final prints. I work closely with the professional printing and processing labs that I use in order to achieve superior colour quality that I see on my screen right through to the final print or book. I process and develop all of my own black and white film and digitize it via scanning. I would consider myself a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the final output quality of my images. I currently shoot with Canon and medium format professional gear. I also have quite a collection of various film cameras that I may bring along with me to a shoot that provide awesome images!
How many photographers do you work with?
I am the sole photographer behind my name. I will at times have an assistant with me during really large weddings to assist with image back-up and archiving throughout the day.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes! I photograph all weddings, events and other commissions behind my name.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I only book one wedding or event per day. I want to give my whole-hearted and undivided attention to the day.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Absolutely. I have an amazing network of pro photographers that I'm able to call should anything beyond my control happen.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Canon camera bodies, various lenses and flashes. I always carry lots of memory cards as well. One can never take too many photos!
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Of course! I have back-up camera bodies and lenses just incase something were to malfunction.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
My rates are based on full day coverage. I like to capture the event as it happens from start to finish. If full day coverage is not required and only a specific time is requested, I'm happy to work something out for hourly coverage.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
As I only book one event per day, I am available for overtime shooting. Overtime rates begin at $250/hour.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Breaks? Who has time for a break on a wedding day? I don't want to miss any key shots and moments from your day. I would consider breaks to be the travel time between the locations of the wedding ceremony, portrait location[s] and the reception venue. My clients have hired me for my artistic photographic abilities to document their day, so there is really no time for breaks.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is charged accordingly based on your location outside of the GTA. Destination wedding travel is available and quoted individually.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
I work as efficiently as possible to get your images to you. During busy seasons of the year, this may take up to 4 weeks and in very rare instances, sometimes longer. I will place some of the photos on my blog within a week after the event as a teaser, but it is important to keep in mind that I take a lot of images throughout your day [many of which are duplicates to capture that amazing moment just perfectly]. I then individually go through each and every image and select the best ones that represent your day. After my rating process I then begin to digitally 'develop' each image to bring out the best colour, contrast, saturation and will do some minor retouching if needed.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
My proofs are generally delivered via an online gallery [password protection possible] so that you and your guests can view your images. I do have options available if you require physical proofs in the form of prints or a proof book to assist with the ordering of your final prints if desired.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Proofs stored online are typically available from 3 months to one year. If you receive a physical product of your proofs - they are yours to keep!
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes. I always maintain the artistic and intellectual rights to all of my photos. I do grant and issue a license for your personal use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. I love the images I produce and I've met so many amazing people through my photography that I like to talk about it - typically through my blog.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes. I've always provided digital image files via a CD or DVD. Depending on your wedding collection, file sizes range from web-ready to high-resolution. Before you print your images on your own, please contact me in regards to professional printing.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes. Your images will be conveniently available online in a viewing gallery [password protection possible] so that you and your guests can view your images and order professional prints.
What kind of albums do you offer?
There are a range of options from mini brag books, photo books and large fine art coffee table books. Digital options are also available in the form of iPods and digital photo frames.
When will the client get the final album?
Each book is individually designed with photos selected by me that truly represent your day as a story from start to finish. The design process begins after your images have been edited and can take anywhere from 8-12 weeks after your wedding date at which time the order is placed and an additional 2-4 weeks may be required for professional binding and printing depending on the type of album selected.
