I use only the very best professional brand makeup, skin care and hair products and am detailed oriented, professional, friendly and always approachable. Being one of only a few internationally qualified and skilled makeup and hair artists, I also provide traditional and airbrush makeup applications. I hired Vicki (for bridal hair and makeup) over the phone from afar and was only able to have a trial a few days before the wedding due to travel arrangements. During the year of our contract, she answered any questions I had in a timely manner, accepted payment through many methods (email, paypal etc.) and dealt with a last minute rash on my face with grace. I do recommend a trial- as I think it helped both Vicki and I find the look I was going for and learned what would work with my hair.
The price of professional makeup can be considered high, and yes, you can go to a hair salon and possibly get these services cheaper- but you also get what you pay for. My makeup was flawless for over 16 hours even through slight sweating, my hair stayed put after laying on it for photos and dancing (without looking similar plastic or stiff). I got exactly what I wanted and had a wonderful experience without driving around the city. Vicki is a truly talented professional and it was a pleasure to do business with her.

Vicki was extremely professional and did an amazing job for my wedding of making me and my mother up. My Mom looked and felt wonderful.
My make-up was excellent and well suited for photography and a night time reception. She came to my hotel and I had every confidence in her abilities and would work with her again for special occasions. She even touched up my hair.

One day, I was browsing from the internet, kept reading about the reviews to every hair and make-up artist.. This was when I found MS. VICKI MILLAR. I was so impressed about her qualifications and she has lots of positive reviews. I sent her an email regarding my wedding and she did reply right away. I got married just recently, October 29, 2011. I was one of the happiest brides on my wedding day! Vicki came to my house on time, set up her stuff and started her job right away. We were all finished when my photographer came to start the pictorials. I was very satisfied about my hair and make-up; as well as my bridesmaids, flower girl and my mom! Vicki magically did my dream hairstyle! She did it the way I imagined! MS. VICKI MILLAR, amazingly did her job! To all the future brides, I highly recommend VICKI MILLAR. Words are not enough to describe the quality of her service. I have my wedding pictures now and can't wait to send Vicki some copies, just to let her know how good she is as hair and make - up artist.

I am a bride and recently got married on Saturday October 15, 2011. I was lucky enough to come across Vicki Millar's website while searching for a makeup artist for my wedding. After reviewing many other artists, I finally chose Vicki first because her website was very well done, and secondl because of how extremely comfortable, reassured and confident I felt after I contacted her. Vicki always promptly and happily replied to my many correspondences back and forth, was always on time for our appointments and was an absolute pleasure to work with!!
I had a trial makeup/hair appointment with Vicki and loved her work. She patiently worked with me and helped me to pull together the wedding look that I dreamed of!!!
I would highly recommend Vicki to any bride out there who is searching for the right makeup artist. Finding the right person is very important (and confusing since there are so many out there), but Vicki is by far the best choice!!

Vicki Millar and her associate were amazing! Every inquiry I made, Vicki answered within the same day and always with a friendly response. When there were changes, she accommodated them. Not to mention my hair and makeup looked amazing!!!

Vicki Millar was an amazing makeup artist. She was so easy to work with and replied to my e-mails promplty. She answered all my questions and had a sparkling personality that put me at ease immediately. She was on time for our appointments and communicated effectivley to ensure I was completely happy with the outcome for my special day. The price was higher then other artists but in the makeup industry the old saying rings true "you get what you pay for" and vicki was worth every penny! She was extremely knowledgeable and her makeup style was classy and elegant. I would highly recommend her services.

The service Vicki provided went above and beyond my expectations! She was friendly, knowledgable and professional. The girls and I really enjoyed our experience with Vicki and her assistant Alice for my wedding this July.
As someone who has never had makeup done professionally, I didn't really know what to expect, but Vicki made me feel extremely comfortable and explained everything to me as she went along.
I would encourage anyone looking for a stylist, whether for a wedding or other special event, to hire Vicki as she will not disappoint! I would definitely hire her again in a heart beat.

I found Vicki on Wedding Wire and couldn't be happier! I had checked out many makeup artists and even had a trial with a different artist before Vicki. Trust me when I say that I did my homework and shopped around before I came across Vicki. Vicki was fabulous, patient, kind, reliable and I was able to trust her 100% on my wedding day. She really took the time to listen to me and get to know me at the wedding trial session. She stayed longer than planned and played with my updo until we found something that I loved.
On my wedding day she made me look and feel stunning. Her make up lasted the entire day despite 35 degree hot weather. My skin continued to look flawless and natural. She gave me clean and smooth looking skin that didn't get shiny or look caked . She contoured my cheekbones and gave me beautiful eyes.
Vicki is talented to say the least and I am so glad I found her. I highly recommend her. She will make you look glamorous without making you look fake. I am a perfectionist and ahem....picky....she exceeded my expectations and made me look beautiful. She is professional, reliable and a lot of fun to work with!

Do you charge for trials?
Yes I do charge for trials. I offer:
2 hour makeup trials which include airbrush if requested, where your bridal look is created or a 3 hour trial that also includes hair styling. I prepare a detailed face chart which is used to ensure that you will look exactly the same on your wedding day as you do at your trial. I also offer invaluable hints and tips for skin and hair preparation to prepare you for your big day.
Do you specialize in textured hair?
I am very experienced working with all hair textures although I do not specialize in natural African American hair.
Do you provide any specialty services? (airbrushing, hair extensions, etc.)
For those brides who are looking for luxurious red carpet treatment, I offer speciality services such as airbrush makeup application.
Feel free to bring clip-in hair extensions with you to your trial and/or wedding day. I regularly work with hair extensions and am very comfortable creating many hairstyles using them.
Do you travel to the client on the day of the event? If yes, is there a fee?
I am completely mobile and will come to you directly for your trial and wedding day at your convenience. I do not charge for travel within the Toronto and Greater Toronto Area including Barrie, Ontario but outside of this area and you will incur a small travel charge.
How many customers can you serve at one time if the bride were to book her entire bridal party? Are there discounts for doing so?
I am able to accommodate wedding parties of any size.
For larger wedding parties I work closely with valued and trusted assistants who work to my standards and timelines.
My overriding priority is the level of customer service provided to my clients. To this end I only work with assistants who understand and agree with this ethic and who demonstrate the same degree of professionalism and quality as I strive to provide.
Large wedding parties will incur a small additional fee which will be included in your initial quote.
How far in advance should clients book your services?
Clients should book services a minimum of 6 - 9 months in advance of their wedding day. I am often booked up to a year in advance during high wedding season.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel your booking your deposit is not refundable; if you cancel your booking after cleared funds are received, before and including a booking date. If I am obliged to cancel your booking every effort will be made to provide a replacement makeup artist of equivalent ability and cost. No guarantee is offered or implied as regards the ability or availability of a replacement makeup artist. If a replacement artist accepts the assignment, your deposit will be passed onto that artist.
If a replacement makeup artist cannot be provided your deposit will be refunded in full.
